Nothingness

Do you ever feel like you are going to fall but no matter how hard you try to hold on there's nothing in this world that's gonna be able to keep you from hitting the ground? Happened to me tonight.

Everything I wanted to say I wasn't saying. Instead, I couldn't stop myself from speaking all those things I didn't wanna say. I feel stupid. I somehow manage to sabotage my own happiness everytime it comes anywhere near me.

I wish I had said nothing instead. Is this why people say less is more? ~lost

Not Open 'Till Noon

Thank you all for being so sweet. I had a very nice birthday. I've been trying to wake up for the past hour or so...not working. I wanted to write something but since my brain is not yet fully functional, I'll have to do it later.

You don't mind do you? ~sleepyhead

The Randy Trinity

They were sitting in front of us at the concert. One had the looks, one the moves, and the other the attitude. Together they would make the perfect Randy. But alas, they were three. But let's not get into any religious analogies here.

Young girl was sitting next to them with her boyfriend. She was halfway to being drunk before the concert even started. All three Randys were waiting to make the move like a lion on prey.

She said she was a ballerina (right). Boyfriend runs out of money by the time Pink came on stage. Dancer girl turns to Randy #3 and asks him about his nose ring. "What a coincidence, I have one of those only on my belly button. See?!" she said loud enough to be heard over the music. Randy #1 and #2 quickly jump in. "I wanna see!" like 6th graders checking out one of those magazines for the first time. She got some free beer. We got a free show.

Halfway into Lenny's set all 3 Randys were gone. So was dancer girl. Boyfriend didn't look all too upset. I wonder why. I have to say, however, it couldn't have been all too comfortable to be getting all those you-are-better-off-without-her looks.

Interesting the things you can see in the span of a few hours. ~me

Desordenada

~Bonita

Out of Order

Do you think I'm pretty? A while back someone told me that I was. I didn't believe it. My eyes hurt everytime I look in the mirror. I wish I could disappear.

Do you think I'm weak because I feel this way about myself? Maybe, but I will never admit to it. I speak with self-assurance. I am intelligent and friendly. I hold my head up high and my hips are admired as I walk by. Proud? Aren't you?

I'm tired and missing a guy who once told me he loved me. ~Beautiful

I love rock 'n roll

The Beatles did it in the '60s. Led Zeppelin did it in the '70s. The '80s had groups such as Ratt and Dokken. During that time rock lost its focus. Somehow the hair became more important than the music. On came the '90s and rock was in desperate need of a change.

If you missed the VMAs, you didn't miss much. Except for Guns N' Roses that is. Back in time, Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff, and Steven. Man did they put the world of rock 'n' roll on notice. Heavily influenced by the classic rock sounds of the '70s and a punk-influenced rhythm section - they were a very much needed change at the time.

I hear rock music is making a come back. I'm not sure it ever went away.

Monday was amazing. Lenny and his band were really tight. Awesome vocals, awesome guitar riffs. Rock 'n' roll is not dead baby! What I love the most out of artist such as Lenny, is that they don't come to your town to offer you only the hits and singles - they are there to entertain you. They have no problem showing you just how talented they really are with drum and guitar solos that expand past 10 minutes; moving an audience to tears, laughter and every other emotion in between.

What got to me was the women on stage. They were powerful, talented, passionate and feminine among other things I'm sure. Abandoned Pools, opening act, had an amazing girl on bass guitar. Pink is more pop but her band was really good as well. All girl band except the guitar player. And well, Lenny had the most awesome drummer, Cindy Blackman. During her solo, all the guys from Abandoned Pools were standing on the side of the stage totally into it as well as the rest of the Kravitz band.

I had an amazing time. Hope all of you out there had a safe and fun weekend as well. We are now back to our regularly scheduled program. ~Desert Flower
